- About Me
- I am the co-founder of GoMatador.com, connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with those who are offering home-based business opportunities.
In 1991 I began working at AlphaGraphics Corp. Headquarters, which at that time was located in Tucson, Arizona. After nine years of employment, and even more job titles, my wife and I partnered with someone and purchaed an AlphaGraphics franchise. We sold to our partner after having children in 2002.
Over the next five years, I worked in the corporate world, but desired to return to being an entrepreneur. I spent a few years building several micro-businesses and selling them while consulting with many small business owners on sales and marketing. Eventually, my wife and I started Gorillaphant Marketing and PR, "where marketing is a whole different animal". As the economy was failing, we were prospering by helping small business owners succeed by utilizing social networking, peer-to-peer, viral and guerrilla marketing. We found that small business owners need multiple revenue streams in this volatile economy, so we launched an apparel company called Rude Maneuvers Industries. Additionally, we ran multiple, online retail ventures, building sites and selling them .
In January of 2009, my wife Jennifer and I, with a long time friend and business mentor, conceptualized GoMatador.com. We found that with the economic ups and downs, many people were looking for a way to earn extra income, or replace income that they had lost. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world were getting online and searching for "home based businesses" or "work from home opportunities". What they were finding were scams and get-rich-quick schemes. Having been self employed for many years now, my wife and I knew that there were some great, legitimate work from home opportunities available, and from this niche sprouted GoMatador.com. We have partnered with a leader in the publishing world and a savvy investor to create a social networking site that brings us back into our love for the franchising model. Franchisors, companies searching for home-office employees, network marketers, and companies offering affiliate marketing opportunities can post their profiles and/or banner and tile ads. The best part is that we are spending nearly $500,000 in our first year to become the number one source for legitimate work from home opportunities! Our massive marketing dollars not only have us showing up strong on Google searches, but are also driving thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs to our site each day to find the opportunity that is right for them!

UPDATE: After 30 days of "officially" launching GoMatador.com, our site traffic has grown by 1100%, we've been contacted by media from all over the country, been featured on Yahoo News and Entrepreneur.com, and we've helped many, many aspiring entrepreneurs find their perfect work-from-home business.
